2020 Was Hard, but 2019? That year almost killed me.
To say that 2020 was a hard year seems like a major understatement. And it definitely had its ups and its downs for me as well.
But 2019? Now that year almost broke me.
2019 started out like any New Year, full of promise and potential. Through a series of serendipities, I found myself hiking the Camino de Santiago in Portugal and Spain in late April, an amazing, transformative trip of a lifetime. While on this incredible trek, I met and fell in love with an amazing German pilgrim. Sounds like a fairy tale, doesn't it? It felt like one too.
We continued our journey together off of the Camino, travelling to visit each other's homes and test things out "in real life". And that's when sh*t got real and my German pilgrim ended our partnership and high-tailed it back to Deutschland. Ouch.
I spent the rest of 2019 and the beginning of 2020 licking my wounds. And thanks to the love and support of family and friends, a good therapist, a crap load of relationship books and the wisdom of astrology, I was able finally close that chapter and Move. The. Heck. On. HALLELUJAH!
So if you are struggling right now with Covid induced challenges to your relationships, your career, your mental health or any other part of your life, I just want to tell you that I feel you. When nothing made sense in my life and my expectations were turned upside down, the cycles of the cosmos helped me to gain perspective on the bigger picture.
Was my heart still broken? Absolutely. And recognizing where I was at in this cycle and knowing that these feelings wouldn't last forever helped me to keep moving forward, even when I didn't think I could.
Each time I connect with someone through the exploration of their birth chart, I am amazed and humbled at what a transformative experience it can be:
