Eclipse season is behind us, Mars, Mercury and Venus are all out of retrograde and every single planet is in forward motion, even if just briefly-YES!🥳Mars FINALLY entered fiery Leo on Friday, kindling the embers of our inner flame after an extended and waterlogged on-again, off-again stay in Cancer, where our drive may have fizzled under emotional overwhelm *sigh*😭
Hold Your Horses!🐴🦄
And before we blindly thrust forward, we want to be sure that we have integrated the lessons of all these cycles. The energy of 2025 overall is straddling the liminal space between the old and the new. We have lots, LOTS of significant indicators pointing us in a fresh direction, and to truly prepare the soil in which we are planting the seeds of this unprecedented growth, we need to clear out the old and discard the habits, beliefs, relationships and values which are no longer aligned with this novel vision💫
Look What the Cat Dragged In🐈🙈
Venus retrograde cycles are known to bring old flames out of the woodwork (never, EVER text your EX 😉) as Venus invites us to be crystal clear on who and what we love and where we place our attention. This Venus retrograde, my “exes” showed up more symbolically than literally-in my dreams-very much on the nose considering Venus finished this cycle in sensitive Pisces, a sign where intuition and non-verbal knowledge are central. And dream lovers are a *little* easier to deal with than in the flesh visitors; past Venus retro cycles, I’ve experienced unwelcome guests literally knocking at my door! YIKES!🤦🏻♀️
Well That Was Unexpected!😬
Another interesting difference for me during this cycle, many of the “exes” were old friendships, rather than intimate partners. This reminded me that connections of all kinds are critical to our relational health, and that some of my friend “breakups” have been just as painful as the end of a romantic liaison.
Our networks help us not only survive, but thrive. I recently read Hector Garcia and Francesc Miralles’ book, Ikigai – The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life, which does a deep dive into the lessons of healthy living from Japan’s famous Blue Zone Centenarians. Top of the list? Community.
Find Your Folks🥰
When our relationships are struggling, we can feel isolated & alone, even when we are surrounded by others. The choice of the company you keep is the most important one you make, but it doesn’t stop there! You must tend the garden of your heart. If you are pretending all is well when it isn’t, if your relationships feel transactional & lacking authentic connection, if you are tired of dealing with drama & don’t know how to do things differently, it doesn't have to be this way!
Love Is All You Need💞
That's what we're here for, after all. And those relationships that truly aren't resonating anymore? Bless them, be grateful for the gifts they've brought and let them go (maybe just for now, who knows?) My Mom is a pro when it comes to focusing on the blessings and she has navigated some seriously tough times with gratitude as her attitude. I'm thankful for her example and doing my Scorpio-holding-on-with-an-iron-grip best to learn to be graceful with the ebbs and flows and just allow🙏Thanks for the memories, dream loves, now it's time for me to sleep!😴
Wishing you love, light and peace 🕊️
Naomi
PS - People aren't the only ones who thrive in community! I just finished forest ecologist Suzanne Simard's Finding the Mother Tree which brilliantly explains the truly amazing ways that trees connect and cooperate through the Wood Wide Web. It's an amazing and inspiring read!🌳🌳🌳
