Who said revelations have to be scary??

Who said revelations have to be scary??

It’s been an eventful few days. I’ve had some epiphanies, and I thought I would share them here as inspiration. I’m not surprised by these revelations, as the planet Uranus is highlighted in the heavens right now, having just met with the Sun. Uranus brings us awakening, sometimes by pulling the rug out from under us, but always aiming to lead us to breakthrough⚡️🌈

The most recent was Sunday morning, as I realized while sipping my morning coffee that I had neglected my meditation and breath work practice the day before. I have been steadfast in my commitment to this practice since August 2024, achieving 287 consecutive days of this practice.  Until Saturday 😳🤦🏻♀️😬

My meditation commitment has been on again off again since I became a yoga teacher in 2009. In making this most recent restart, I really paid attention to how I felt, how I was able to bring more presence into everyday life, how much I had improved my ability to stay in the moment and notice unhelpful habits. Awareness around the shifts meditation and breath work was helping me to achieve made it easier to continue the practice🧘🏻♀️

When I realized I had forgotten the practice, I immediately began berating myself, speaking aloud about what a stupid mistake it was. Thankfully, my partner heard this and stopped me. He reminded me to take my own advice, forgive myself for the mistake, and begin again. And I did exactly that. My new milestone? Three days✅🙏

Lesson: You can always choose a fresh start in every moment.  Begin again.

The second insight came on Saturday, when I went to see the movie The Way, My Way by Australian filmmaker Billy Bennett.  It is based on his experience of walking the Camino de Santiago, an ancient Christian pilgrimage which ends at the cathedral of Saint James in Santiago de Campostella, Spain.

It was a delightful trip down memory lane for me, as I walked the Portuguese Camino six years ago. The journey changed my life, and I continues to grow from the experience.  As they say on The Way, the Camino always provides ➡️💛

Beyond the recollection around yellow arrows, packing logistics, blisters from hiking, whether to use walking sticks, and the experience of sleeping in albergues (communal hostels for pilgrims), the film reminded me of the most important lesson of the Camino: take the journey of life one step at a time👣

Lesson:  Trust, don’t rush.  You are exactly on time.

The last realization came one morning last week, as I was tending mindfully to some farm chores. I was truly in the moment, not really thinking of anything, other than the job before me. In this contemplative frame of mind, a vision came to me for a collaboration with a group of local colleagues. The idea was so complete and fully formed, I was astounded🌟

A walk in the woods with the dogs an hour later fleshed out the remaining details, which I shared excitedly with my Soul Sisters who received the idea with delight. What I particularly love about this idea is that each person’s unique & amazing gifts weave together seamlessly. Each facilitator has something to share and plays their important part🙌

Lesson:  We are better, together. Collaborate, with the Divine and with each other.

So there you have it!  Three simple truths which I wanted to share.  And ideas are the flavour of the day, now that the Sun is in airy, communicative Gemini ♊️ Enjoy skimming the surface with adaptive curiosity!

Wishing you love, light and peace 🕊️

Naomi
